Pictora is the lead partner in a new innovative Erasmus+ project, 'Creativity, The Connected Economy and Offenders'. The project is one of thirteen nationally approved in the UK under EU Erasmus+ funding (from 79 applications submitted).
The project focus's on the change from and industrial economy/society to the new emerging connected economy, which is about exploration, personal production, networking, making connections and active participation. At the heart of this new emerging connected economy is creativity. For offenders/ex-offenders to embrace this new economy they need to develop their creative capabilityies and undertand how to make positive connections to increase their Social Capital.
The project is developing new approached, tools and methodologies for offenders and ex-offenders to access the connected economy, thus supporting resettlement, employability and reducing re-offending.
The project has partner organisations in Lithuania, Latvia and Portugal, all who work in the Criminal Justice System.
